DC School Lottery
My School DC facilitates a common lottery that determines placement for new students at all participating schools. Criteria for student-school matches includes:
Number of available spaces at each school
Sibling, in-boundary, and other lottery preferences
Student ranked choices
Student’s random lottery number
*DCPS selective high schools and programs select students based on specific criteria.
